Carriage Hills was built in the late 1990s and early 2000s by Milburn (now known as DR Horton) and Centex Homes and is one of the more affordable Cedar Park neighborhoods. The neighborhood is full of mature trees that line the wide streets, giving it a more natural look as compared to newer neighborhoods where all you see are houses. Homes are a mix of traditional style, single story and two story homes, with many grey and beige brick facades, some red brick and some stone. Carriage Hills homes range in size from 1,083 sqft to 3,638 sqft, so there is something for someone in nearly all stages of life. Lots range from 0.12 to 0.45 acres, with the average size at 0.185 acres. Despite the smaller lot sizes, homes are not right on top of each other. Many of the larger homes are two stories, so the footprint is about half of what it would be if it was a one story home. That keeps space between the homes at a greater distance than what you’d see elsewhere. Inside you can expect most of the homes to be in original condition, though some have been updated with new appliances, flooring and light fixtures, giving them a more modern look. Residents enjoy easy access to shopping and restaurants as well as a community pool, park, on-site elementary school and sport courts.
