Forest Oaks was developed from 1995 to 2011 by DR Horton, Meritage, Taylor Morrison, Newmark, Lennar, Buffington, Legacy and David Weekley Homes, so there are quite a few homes located within the boundaries. With so many builders, Forest Oaks is definitely not cookie cutter and buyers have options when it comes to style and floor plan. Forest Oaks homes range in size from the cozy, 1,344 square foot starter home to the sprawling 4,708 square foot home for someone looking for space. Lots range from 0.10-0.56 acres, with the average being around 0.18 acres and homes have anywhere from 1-3 car garage, with a 2 car garage being the most popular. There are a few hills in Forest Oaks, so it is not completely flat like some of the other neighborhoods you see in Cedar Park or Round Rock. Developers also incorporated many cul-de-sacs and dead end streets into the neighborhood, so you get little through traffic. People that drive down your ride likely live there, or are visiting someone who does. This makes it especially appealing for someone who prefers less traffic in front of their home. Residents enjoy access to a community park, pool, clubhouse, hike and bike trails and picnic areas.
