Homes in Oakmont Forest were built by Wilshire and Legacy Homes in the mid-late 1990s and sit on larger than average, private lots that average about 1/5 of an acre. With 25+ years to grow up, the trees have matured, creating private yards and outdoor spaces. Oakmont Forest homes range in size from 1,689-3,401 square feet, with an average size of 2,539 square feet. Homes are well kept with well maintained yards, creating a great feel as you drive or walk around the neighborhood. You will also find less open floor plans with separate rooms for living spaces rather than one large room you see today. We do see some kitchens that open to the family room, so it’s not entirely closed off. The community does belong to an HOA, but the fees are very reasonable compared to other neighborhoods of this age. Though the HOA does not provide amenities, residents are often seen at Oakmont Forest Park (aka Colby Lane Park) which has a playscape, BBQ grills, baseball field and picnic area.
