The park – and even the bathrooms – are clean and they offer a place for BBQ and picnicking. They also have tennis and basketball courts for public use.
On Sundays at 2pm, adults head over for the weekly pickup softball game. The one downside is there is not a dedicated parking lot, but there is plenty of parallel parking on the surrounding streets.

How’s the Commute to and From Rosedale?
Located in Central Austin, Rosedale gives residents easy access to the city’s major roads and highways. Whether you’re heading downtown, to the tech corridor, or university district, getting there is quick and convenient.
- Commute Downtown: Approximately 15 minutes by car.
- University of Texas at Austin: Around a 10-minute drive or quick bus ride.
- Austin-Bergstrom International Airport: A 25-minute drive for frequent travelers.
With plenty of public transit options, it’s also easy to go car-free if your end destination is on its route.
Commuting to Downtown Austin from Rosedale is fairly easy. Because you won’t have to get on MoPac of IH-35, which can be quite packed during commute hours, you’ll save precious minutes off your commute. Luckily, MoPac (the less busier of the two Austin freeways) is not too far from Rosedale so if you have to commute North or South, you’ll be able to get on and off fairly painlessly.
