The most centrally located condo building, one block from N Congress Ave between 6th Street and the Capitol, Brazos Place is one of the go to buildings for someone looking to be in the heart of Downtown. The building was originally built in 1948 as the 14 story Commodore Perry Hotel. In 1984, the building was converted to offices and called One Commodore Plaza. Then, in 2009, the building was converted to the residential condos it is today. Much of the building was designed to keep with a loft style look with industrial finishes, concrete floors and exposed brick and ductwork, but the condos themselves are not lofts.
