Sawyer Ranch is located in Dripping Springs directly west of Southwest Austin’s Belterra neighborhood. The easiest access to Sawyer Ranch is from 290 and Sawyer Ranch Road. The closest golf to Sawyer Ranch is at Grey Rock Golf Course which is about 10 miles away. Grey Rock is a public pay as you play course with membership options for more frequent players. You can also check out Falconhead Golf Course in Bee Cave, which is about 15 miles away, for something different. Falconhead is also a pay as you play course, which means you can play as often as you like.
Places to Eat Near Sawyer Ranch
Probably the most well known restaurant near Sawyer Ranch is the Nutty Brown Cafe. Most known for their live music and shows, you’ll also find the food there to be pretty good. Its a great place to go and hear some local, as well as some pretty big name acts. If you’re looking for a quieter night, try the Creek Road Cafe in Dripping Springs. They have an assortment of choices and both the service and the food is excellent. For a unique mix of flavors try the Canyon Grill Ice House where you’ll find everything from Chinese to fajitas to pasta or soup and salads. Most are big fans of the Chinese take out.
Shopping Near Sawyer Ranch
The closest grocery shopping can be found at the new H-E-B in Dripping Springs, which is 7 miles from Sawyer Ranch. If you need to pick up some home improvement items, you can do so next door to H-E-B at Home Depot. The town of Dripping Springs also has several other smaller stores and drug stores, so most of your shopping can be done in one place. For clothes and mall shopping, you can try The Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave where you’ll find several upscale retailers as well as big box retailers like Marshalls. For even more upscale shopping, try Barton Creek Square Mall at 360 and MoPac.
Where to Work Out – Gyms Near Sawyer Ranch
If you like tennis and polo, you’re in luck. The Polo Tennis and Fitness Club is just across 290. But, if you aren’t a big tennis fan, they still have a full fitness center, swimming and social membership options as well. If you’re looking for an all women’s gym, try the Curves Bear Creek. If you’re looking for a traditional gym, try Boudreaux’s Powerhouse with treadmills, cardio machines, free weights, pilates, yoga and children’s area. Or, if you like The YMCA, there’s one in Dripping Springs.
