Knollwood on the Colorado River is located in Way East Austin just east of 183 and south of E Martin Luther King Blvd. Although the neighborhood feels out of the way and secluded, it is located only 4 miles from Downtown Austin. The community is bordered by 183 to the west, the Walnut Creek Hike and Bike Trails to the North and the Colorado river to the east and west. To get to the neighborhood, take 7th St east. Turn right on Levander Loop. Continue on Ed Bluestein Blvd. Make a right on Howard Rd. Make a right on Alleyton Drive. Knollwood on the Colorado River is shaded in green on the map below. The residents at Knollwood on the Colorado River are surrounded by nature and enjoy many amenities most have to live 25+ miles outside of Austin to enjoy. The 20-acre, HOA maintained, passive river Knollwood Park located on the banks of the Colorado River is a resident favorite. You’ll often see residents kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing or just relaxing by the river. The community is also bordered by the Walnut Creek Hike and Bike Trail. This 7.3 mile trail heads north to Walter E. Long Metro Park and ends to the south at Govalle Park in East Austin.
