The City of Georgetown, TX is located about 25 miles north of Austin in Williamson County and is regarded as one of the prettiest cities in the County. Over the years, Georgetown has earned a reputation for being a go to city for retirees. In 2007, when it was named by Retirement Places Rated as the Best Place in America to Retire, that pretty must sealed the city’s label. But, that reputation is changing. Recently, we’ve seen an influx of not just retirees, but younger people with kids looking for a suburban location that not too far away from a more urban area and the Hill Country as well. As the Georgetown ISD continues to improve, Georgetown will continue to attract new residents. Scroll Down to Read our Georgetown Neighborhood Guide.
