Parkside on the River is a large, 1,500 acre master planned community in southwestern Georgetown. Located on the banks of the San Gabriel River off Leander Road, Parkside on the River is nestled between rolling hills, mature oak trees and beautiful views. This section of Georgetown is definitely one of the spectacular sections and really gives home owners the feel of being in nature. The developer is planning trails, open spaces where residents can enjoy the tranquility of the land, swimming pools and an amenity center. At the start of the community, Highland Homes, Coventry Homes, M/I Homes, Perry Homes and Taylor Morrison will build there and models are currently under construction (August 2021). The neighborhood is on the border of the Georgetown and Leander ISD, so depending on which schools district you’re targeting, you’ll have options in Parkside on the River. Future plans are to have an on-site school, which is much needed in this area of Georgetown with the influx of residents. The developers have also done a great job at incorporating the San Gabriel River into the landscape of the neighborhood and have dedicated quite a bit of space for parkland adjacent so residents will be able to enjoy the river. Plus, many of the streets are cul-de-sacs, making lots bigger and reducing traffic on each individual street.
