North Loop has changed dramatically over its existence. It began as an inexpensive neighborhood in the flight path of Austin’s original Mueller airport. Though it was close to downtown Austin and UT, the flight path really held values down. Fast forward several decades when the airport was moved to where it is today and North Loop began to take shape into one of Central Austin’s trendier neighborhood. Still more affordable than its neighbors in Hyde Park, North Loop homes given options for someone who doesn’t need something new and can live in 1,500 square feet or less. And, located right off Manchaca Road just south of William Cannon, residents are able to get downtown in under 20 minutes and avoid the freeway if they need to.
