Leander is a northwest suburb of Austin located just north of Cedar Park. In 2000, there were only about 7,000 people living in Leander. Today that number is closer to 30,000, making Leander the 37th fastest growing city in the US. Part of what makes Leander so attractive are the affordable homes, variety of homes (rural setting vs subdivision) and the great Leander ISD schools. Leander is also about 30 minutes away from the Hill Country, Lake Travis, Austin, Cedar Park, Round Rock and Georgetown, making it convenient for someone who likes to get out and enjoy all of what the area has to offer.
