Crystal Falls is a highly sought-after master planned built on 5,000 acres of gorgeous Texas Hill Country. Development began in the late 1990s and continues today (November 2022), though all of the production homes have been built out. The community is made up of seven neighborhoods: Grand Mesa, Cap Rock, Cap Rock Estates, The Highlands, The Fairways, The Bluffs and The Boulders. Each one of these neighborhoods are as diverse as they come. From acreage home sites to custom built homes overlooking the Golf Club at Crystal Falls, to small homes on manageable lots, each neighborhood has its own distinct look and amenities. Crystal Falls homes range in size from 1,215-8,829 square feet with an average size of 3,322 square feet. Lots range from 0.06-6.15 acres, with an average size of 0.662 acres and a median size of 0.281 acres. The range of lot sizes this great is uncommon for a master planned community as lots are more uniformly sized. But, Crystal Falls has some sections where lots are 1/2-1 acre, skewing the numbers. It doesn’t necessarily mean there is more space between the homes. More so that there are different sections with different sized lots. Because of the its Hill Country location, unique amenities and highly regarded school district, Crystal Falls has been deemed the “Best Master Planned Community” by the Austin Business Journal and is a great place to look if you want a diverse master planned community with amenities. Crystal Falls is located northwest of Downtown Austin in the City of Leander. The main entrance to the neighborhood is off of Hwy 183 on Crystal Falls Parkway. The location of the community allows easy access to most locations in the Austin area. The community is 24 miles from Downtown Austin, less than 12 miles from Round Rock and only 18 miles to Lake Travis .

Crystal Falls Homes
Crystal Falls is one of the more diverse neighborhoods in the Austin area. The community has several large builders as well as a few smaller custom builders. Homes are unique in appearance, size, landscaping and amenities. Homes will range from 3-7 bedrooms, 2- 5 bathrooms and between 1,545-7,641 square feet.

Crystal Falls residents enjoy access to one of the prettiest community pools in the Austin area. And, for residents who like to swim, there are two swimming complexes to enjoy. The Quarry Park Amenity Center has a Junior size Olympic pool with splash pad and buckets where kids can splash around and you can swim laps. The Grotto Pool is the more relaxing setting, featuring two beautiful waterfalls, lounging rocks direct from nature, underwater seating and adjoining shallow kids pool. If you like a more active lifestyle, check out the tennis courts, sand volleyball court, 18-hole disc golf course or miles of nature walking trails. Many also enjoy the catch and release fishing lake and picnic areas with natural limestone picnic tables and BBQ grills.

The closest grocery shopping to Crystal Falls is the HEB Plus only 5 minutes away on Hwy 183. Crystal Falls is also close to several shopping districts. The 1890 Ranch and the Railyard in Cedar Park are located only 10 minutes away. Other shopping areas within a short drive of Crystal Falls are the Lakeline Mall (12 minutes), Arboretum (15 minutes), Round Rock Premium Outlets (20 minutes), IKEA (20 minutes) and The Domain (25 minutes).

Crystal Falls offer its residence plenty of activities within the neighborhood. Each Crystal Falls Neighborhood has access to world class community centers, pools, playgrounds and parks. Crystal Falls recreational amenities include an 18 hole golf course, 2 swimming complexes, picnic and barbecue areas, playgrounds, fishing lake, volleyball court, 18 hole disc golf course and walking trails. Ten minutes away you’ll find the Cedar Park Event Center where you can watch big name talent perform, as well as the Austin Toros (NBA minor league team) or Texas Stars hockey. In the need for some baseball? The Dell Diamond and the Round Rock Express is 20 minutes away. Need to cool down in the summer? Places to Eat Near Crystal Falls
There are several great restaurants near the Crystal Falls neighborhood from American to Mexican to Italian. O’Leander Cafe is the place to go for real home cooking. O’Leander is Italian American Fusion with their most poplar dishes being their Chicken Parmesan and Chicken Marsala. For awesome margaritas and Mexican martinis, you can’t go wrong with Jardin Del Rey. Also try their Chili Relleno and Carne Guisada. Another popular Leander restaurant is Luigi’s Italian Restaurant. Luigi’s serves some of the best Italian in the Austin Area. Make sure to order the Paprika Chicken. You have to ask for it, as it is not on the menu.

There are several Starbucks within a short drive of Crystal Falls. If you’re looking for something a little more local, give the Silver Spoon Cafe a shot. Not only do they have great drip coffee, their pies are out of this world .
