High Gabriel is one of Leander’s established neighborhoods with the first homes built in the 1960s and last built in the mid-2010’s. With the 50+ years it took to develop, you will certainly see a vast array of architectural styles, sizes and floor plans. The neighborhood is divided into 5 sections and you’ll see different variations of deed restrictions for each. Throughout High Gabriel you’ll find large lots, mid century ranchers mixed in with newer homes with more modern amenities. You also might be lucky enough to find lots if you would prefer to build a custom home. Lots range from 1/2-12 3/4 acres, so you won’t feel like you’re right on top of your neighbor. There is an HOA, but dues are minimal at less than $50/year as of November 2022. 140 homes in the neighborhood are served by a private water company, The High Gabriel Water Supply Corporation. High Gabriel is situated on the banks of the San Gabriel River where you’ll find a park and walking trails and is one of the biggest draws to the neighborhood.
