Looking at a bird’s eye view of a map of Highland Oaks and you’ll see how creative the developers were when they planned it out. There are two entrances. One from CR 279 and the other from Bronze Lane which is located about half way down the neighborhood. Instead of making it a boring loop, they closed off some streets and made more cul-de-sac and corner lots, which ultimately makes larger lots and gives residents more space between them and their neighbor. It also means less through traffic as you would likely enter from the half of the neighborhood where your home is rather than at the main entrance and driving all the turns. The neighborhood was built exclusively by Grand Endeavor Homes from 2017-2020, so build out occurred fairly quickly when you consider the size and price point of these homes. Highland Oaks homes range in size from 2,438-3,909 square feet with a median size of 3,131 square feet and lots range from 1-1.45 acres with an average size of 1.076 acres. There are no sidewalks in Highland Oaks, but there is a drainage ditch on either side of the street to help with the flow of water. The acre lots are very well landscaped for the most part with sod, trees (mostly mature trees that were kept) and planters. Highland Oaks homes also have mostly 3-4 car garages with some 5 car garages if you need additional garage space. Inside you can expect high end finishes, gourmet kitchens, open floor plans and design touches like moulding and trey ceilings.
