Horizon Park was developed by Centex Homes between 2001-2005 with homes ranging in size from 1,148 – 4,150 square feet and lots ranging from 0.1 acres to 0.73 acres. The average home in Horizon Park is 2,025 square feet and sits on a 0.176 acre lot. Many of the homes have been updated to have granite counters, stainless steel appliances and hard floors. You’ll also find many with covered patios and well kept yards. Homes are typically lighter brick or stone with some darker brick homes sprinkled in. As the neighborhood approaches 20 years old, trees have matured and line the streets to provide shade and be more visually appealing. Pleasant Hill Elementary is located at the entrance of the community, making it convenient for families with elementary school aged kids. It can make for a traffic jam at school pick up time, so most try to use the other entrance on Union Street to avoid it. Residents enjoy access to the community pool, parks and playground. Horizon Park has a mandatory HOA with dues at $78/quarter as of November 2022. If you’re looking for an established neighborhood, but still want amenities and a great location in Leander off Crystal Falls Parkway and 183, Horizon Park is a great place to start your search.
