Larkspur was first developed in 2017 with building still going on today (November 2022) but is reaching the end of development with the recent population explosion. Located at the north end of Leander just southeast of 29 and 183, residents might feel closer to Liberty Hill than Leander and half of the neighborhood is in the Liberty Hill ISD. One big draw are the $0 down, USDA loans that this area offers. It’s ideal for someone who has the money for the monthly payment, but doesn’t have too much saved up for a large down payment. Builders include DR Horton, Gehan Homes and Milestone, so there is enough variety in floor plans and elevations to keep Larkspur from looking too cookie cutter. Larkspur homes range in size from 1,300-3,862 square feet with an average size of 2,142 square feet. Lots average around 0.15 acres. There is a great blend between the rural feel (surrounded by lots of mature trees & farms) and the convenience of community amenities (community center & pool). If you’re looking for a large, master planned community in north Leander, Larkspur is a great place to start your search.
