Palmera Ridge is a 426 acre, master planned community in Leander that will have around 1,000 homes at build out. Most will be single family homes, there are also two sections of condos planned. Builders were selected to give home buyers a range of options and include CalAtlantic Homes, Chesmar Homes, Coventry Homes, Highland Homes, M/I Homes, Perry Homes, Trendmaker Homes, Village Builders and Wilshire Homes. When creating the plan for the community, the developers left many of the native trees to create a more established feel for the first homeowners. Homes range in size from 1,589-4,480 square feet, with an average size of 2,711 square feet. Inside you’ll find differences in finish out depending on the section you’re in and the builder who built the home. Some of them keep the brown and beige tones we saw in the 2000’s and early 2010’s and other homes are moving toward the white and grey tones with white cabinets. No matter what builder, you’ll usually see kitchens that open to the family room with large center islands, granite or stone counters, higher end stainless steel appliances and recessed lighting. Outside, you’ll see a mix of stone and lighter brick with some wood or stucco accents. Many of the homes have three car garages and despite the wider footprints, you’ll still see some space between houses. Also, you’ll find many cul-de-sac lots and others that back to green space. Lots will range in size from 50-70′ and be an average of 0.196 acres. Palmera Ridge amenities include a community pool, amenity center, parks and wet ponds. The neighborhood also backs to the San Gabriel River and has several miles of hiking trails along the river and through the preserved greenbelt.
