Built exclusively by popular Austin area builder, Gehan Homes, Pecan Creek is one of Leander’s highly sought after neighborhoods. Construction began in 2013 and completed in 2018 with 200 homes. Pecan Creek backs to Brushy Creek, which does put some of the homes in the 500 year flood plain so check with your lender to see if that would require you to maintain flood insurance. Gehan Homes is known for it’s impressive list of standard features, so you’ll see many of the homes have a higher level of finish out than what you expect to see of homes built in this time period. Inside you can expect large kitchens that open to the family room with center islands or bars where you can put stools. Many of the two story floor plans have two story family rooms that make the space feel enormous. Family time and entertaining were certainly at the forefront of the architects mind when they drew the floor plans. Outside you’ll see a lot of stone and some brick. You’ll also notice the elevations have some accents on them, so they are more architecturally interesting. Trees are fairly new, but the builder did plant several through the neighborhood, so in a few years when they mature, you’ll see tree lined streets with shade. One and two story floor plans range in size from 1,850-4,920 square feet, so no matter what stage of life you’re in, you’ll definitely find a floor plan that fits your family’s needs. Pecan Creek amenities include a fishing pond, park, playground and picnic area located at the center of the community.
