Stonehurst is a true “country” neighborhood complete with no sidewalks, wells for water, septic systems and horse barns (on select lots). Stonehurst lots are 5+ acres, with custom homes that were built in the 1970s and 1980s and many of them have been kept up nicely. The location of Stonehurst cannot be beat if you’re looking for a country setting, but need easy access to commute or get around town. The neighborhood sits off Sam Bass Road just north of 1431, so you can easily be on 183A or 35 in just a few minutes. Many of the homes have separate workshops, extra garages or storage buildings. You’ll find anywhere from the standard 2 car garages to multiple garages and buildings with room for up to 15 cars, possibly more if you don’t need workshop space. So, if you need more space for a workshop or storage, you’ll be able to add it here. There is no HOA in Stonehurst, which allows residents the flexibility to use their acreage as they need without the extra rules. Despite no oversight, you’ll see most of the homes have great curb appeal – at least the homes you can see. Some sit well off the road behind trees and you can only see the entry gate and long driveway. Others are visible from the road. Stonehurst, though light on its own amenities, is located across from Williamson County Regional Park where you’ll find a disc golf course, hike and bike trails, tennis and other sports courts and a miniature train for kids to ride.
