Summerlyn is a master planned community built by Pulte Homes, Centex Homes and Lennar Homes. Located at the very northern tip of Leander, Summerlyn homes can be purchased with a 100% USDA home loan (please verify USDA boundaries as they are subject to change at any time), making this neighborhood an ideal choice for someone with very little down payment available. Building began in 2005 and building still continues today (November 2022), making it one of the longest developing neighborhoods in Leander. With this range of development, you’ll see differences in the older and new sections of Summerlyn in terms of architectural style, building materials used, price point, finish out and mature versus brand new landscaping. In the older section, builders used one material for the exterior, with some siding on the sides and rear. In the newer section, homes have more accent materials, so many of them have brick and stone versus just brick. The contrast does give them a higher end feel. No matter what section you live in, residents enjoy access to the community park, pool and playground and low HOA dues. When complete, this 400+ acre development will have just over 1,000 homes.
