Situated along the border of Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, Trails of Shady Oak is known for its mature trees and Hill Country feel. Built by one of Austin’s most energy efficient builders, Meritage Homes, Trails of Shady Oak homes are some of the least expensive to operate. Known for its foam insulation, many owner’s A/C bills in the summer are very affordable, which offers a substantial savings, especially when compared to older homes. Meritage built three sections of the neighborhood, the Classic, Estate and Platinum Collection. The Classic is the most affordable section. The Estate Collection offers larger home sites. The Platinum is a small section of the largest lots. Construction started in 2014 and build out was complete in 2019. The neighborhood has a beautiful entrance with pond and fountain and homes are very well kept. Most of the landscaping is new, but is quickly starting to grow so it won’t be long before you have mature trees. Some of the home owners have added their own landscaping and planters for more greenery and color. Outside you’ll see combinations of brick and stone exteriors with some stucco accents. Inside you’ll see open layouts, two story living rooms, lots of windows for more natural light, stainless steel appliances and granite counters. If you’re looking for a quality, energy efficient home but don’t need brand new, Trails of Shady Oak is a great place to start your search.
