Built exclusively by KB Homes from 2000-2010, Westwood is one of Leander’s established planned communities. Residents enjoy access to a community pool with lounge seating, pavilion, park and kids’ playground. Homes built closer to 2000 are not as architecturally interesting as homes built closer to 2010. Older homes will have flat front, one style brick or stone and single color (usually off white) garages. The newer homes typically have brick and stone, some details in elevation for architectural uniqueness and painted garage doors. Older homes are priced a bit more competitively, so if you don’t need the extra detail on the exterior or the newer finishes, an older home is a way to save some money in Westwood. The neighborhood is located off Hero Way, just west of Bagdad Road, so access to 35, 183 and Ronald Reagan are all pretty easy.
