Located off Highway 183 a few miles north of Highway 29, Ancient Oaks is a smaller neighborhood of about 50 homes on acreage lots. The neighborhood is made up of a loop and an additional street with a few cul-de-sacs jetting out, so there is no through access and traffic is generally limited to residents and visitors. Homes were built in the late 2000’s and early 2010’s, so you’ll see more modern style floorplans. But, they are all custom, so you aren’t going to see the same layouts and finishes from house to house. It’s going to be pretty unique. Some of the lots are more wooded with scrub trees and others are wide open, making them perfect for someone who doesn’t want to maintain trees or who needs open space for outdoor structures. There is an HOA, but there are no amenities and the fees are nominal making it an ideal blend of oversight and freedom. If you’re looking for a larger home on at least an acre and don’t care about the community pool and park, Ancient Oaks is an ideal place to start your search.
