Update: Bobby is Halfway to Finding a New Home
This morning, after taking him to the vet for his shots and to get checked out (he is a boy for sure by the way and was given a clean bill of health) we got a call from PAWS, a wonderful no kill shelter in Kyle. Courtney were touched by Bobby’s story and asked him to come down so they could help find him a forever home. We went down there to meet the staff and they were absolutely amazing! Bobby took one look at her, jumped in her arms and started purring – almost like he knew he would now find a loving family. It was super sad to leave this little guy, but he is going to find a wonderful home.
PAWS is an absolutely amazing shelter with an amazing staff. If you want to adopt a pet, have extra pet supplies or could spare some cash, please consider donating to them so they can continue to help sweet little boys like Bobby. For more info, check out their website, Paws Shelter Kyle.
Thank you PAWS for your amazing work with animals! Can’t wait to hear about Bobby’s new family.
Help Us Find a Home for this Abandoned Cat
It looks like this cat’s mom is not showing up to claim him (scroll down to read the story). Though we would love to keep him, we have two cats that will not have any of that and my sister, who has been keeping him is leaving in May for a job in NY so she can’t keep him either. We don’t want to bring him to the shelter for fear this sweet little guy would get put down so we’re reaching out to you to see if you, or anyone you know, may be in the market for a lovable cat. Keep this Sweet Little Guy Out of the ShelterThe vet this morning said he/she was a Main Coon cause he has the M on his head. He is super sweet and friendly and absolutely loves people. So much so that when we took him over to the vet this morning by just carrying him in the car, I came back without a scratch on my body – which is pretty amazing since my cat would have attacked me and the vet for sure. He has been around dogs and other cats and is totally fine with it. He would be a great cat for any age person since he’s pretty mellow and is not aggressive at all. If you are interested in meeting this little guy, call us at (512) 827-8323 or email us at info@AustinRealEstateHomesBlog.com and we can arrange for you to meet the cat. We hope someone will help us keep him out of the shelter! Here are some pictures of him so you can get a better look. |

Update Saturday 3/26/11
We took him to our vet to see if he had a chip, but unfortunately not. We have put up tons of signs and gotten a lot of hits to this post and still no luck. We’re beginning to think no one is looking for this poor little guy, which is sad since he/she is super sweet and loves people. So, if you know anyone that is looking to adopt a cat, have them contact us. We’re looking to find him/her a very good home and stay out of the shelter.
Found a Cat Near South Lamar
Today our post may be a little off topic, but this little guy is now dear to our heart and we’re hoping you can help. Two days ago, on March 22, 2011, this little guy showed up on our door step. At first we thought he (not sure whether He is a She so bear with me) was a neighbors cat, but he has been here for two days and he’s obviously lost. He is a very sweet cat, likes to chat, purr and be pet, and doesn’t have a collar. He looks very healthy and is very lovey, so we know he has a home and are trying to help him find it.
