Southwest Territory is one of the Manchaca neighborhoods off Bliss Spillar Road. One thing that makes it different from other Manchaca neighborhoods is it is one of the few in the Austin ISD with Baranoff, Bailey and Bowie schools. But, this is only the front section, not the entire neighborhood, so be sure to check district boundaries before buying. Residents are drawn to Southwest Territory because of its large, ½ to 1 acre lots, with some upwards of almost 4 acres. Plus, with no HOA, you’ll have minimal restrictions with how you use your property. Homes were built in the 1980s, so you’ll find a lot of one stories, galley kitchens, beam ceilings and stone fireplaces. Some of the homes are in more original condition, ready for the next owner to remodel then and others have already been remodeled. If you’re looking for something unique with mature trees not too far outside of Austin or Buda, Southwest Territory is a great place to start your search.
