Austin Luxury Median Price Up 3%
The median price of an Austin luxury home in April 2023 was $1,400,000. Last month, the median price was $1,395,000, showing an 0.35% increase in month over month numbers. Last year, in April 2022, the median price of a luxury home was $1,353,800, showing a 3.41% increase in year over year numbers.
Austin Luxury Home Sales Down 48%
In April 2023, there were 199 luxury homes that sold in the Austin area. Last month, we had 179 homes sell, showing an 11% increase in month over month numbers. In April 2022, there were 386 Austin area luxury homes that sold, showing a 48% decrease in year over year numbers.
Time to Sell an Austin Luxury Home Up 175%
In April 2023, it took, on average, 44 days to sell a luxury home in the Austin area. The median time to sell was 19 days. In March 2023, it took, on average, 58 days to sell a luxury home in the Austin area with a median time to sell of 31 days. This marked a 24% decrease in time to sell in month over month numbers. In April 2022, it took, on average, 16 days to sell a luxury home in Austin with a median time to sell of 5 days. This marked a 175% increase in time to sell in year over year numbers,

April 2023 Luxury Real Estate Price Report – Strictly Numbers
For those of you who prefer to see the actual numbers, we’ve listed the figures for April 2023 Austin area luxury home sales below. The most expensive luxury home that sold in April 2023 sold for $6,900,000 and the least expensive luxury home sold for $1,000,000. Austin luxury homes ranged in size from 1,226 sqft – 10,387 sqft with an average size of 3,454 sqft. The average price per square foot for a luxury home that sold in Austin in April 2023 was $502.92 with the lowest being $215.98/sqft and the highest being $1,271.19/sqft. It took, on average, 44 days to sell a luxury home in Austin and sellers received, on average, 93.86% of their original list prices.
