16% Increase in the Median Sold Price of Austin Luxury Homes
In February 2024, the median sold price of an Austin luxury home was $1,450,000 compared to $1,250,000 in February 2023 showing a 16% increase in year over year comparisons. Last month the median sold price was $1,354,491 showing a 7% increase in month over month comparisons.
14% Increase in the Number of Austin Luxury Home Sales
In February 2024, there were 131 luxury homes that closed escrow compared to 115 luxury homes in February 2023 showing a 14% increase in year over year numbers. Last month there were 101 luxury homes that sold in Austin showing a 30% increase in month over month comparisons.
18% Increase in Time to Sell an Austin Luxury Home
In February 2024 it took, on average, 87 days to sell an Austin luxury home compared to an average of 74 days in February 2023, showing an 18% increase in year over year numbers. Last month it took, on average, 81 days to sell an Austin luxury home showing a 7.4% increase in month over month comparisons.

For those of you who prefer to see the actual numbers, we’ve listed the figures for February 2024 Austin area luxury home sales below. The most expensive luxury home that sold in February 2024 sold for $5,150,000 and the least expensive luxury home sold for $1,000,000. Austin luxury homes ranged in size from 1,480 sqft – 7,765 sqft with an average size of 3,684 sqft. The average price per square foot for a luxury home that sold in Austin in February 2024 was $457.31 with the lowest being $212.26/sqft and the highest being $1,111.83/sqft. It took, on average, 81 days to sell a luxury home in Austin and sellers received, on average, 89.09% of their original list prices.
