Built from the early 1990s to the mid 2000s by some of Austin’s most well known builders, Round Rock Ranch is one of Round Rock’s more desirable, established neighborhoods. Builders included Brighton Homes, Buffington Homes, Choice Homes, Continental Homes, DR Horton Homes, Hammonds and Legacy Homes (now both Meritage), Newmark and some custom homes by Russell Allen. One draw that sets Round Rock Ranch above new construction is lots are bigger, some that measure nearly 1/4 acre. Combine lot size and the mature trees and residents have more privacy and a prettier setting. Inside you’ll find many of the homes have been updated, so they don’t have that traditional builder finish out look. Each is unique with its own style. Architecturally, homes are very traditional with many of them with brick and stone exteriors, rather than the HardiPlank you see on some newer construction.
