Tonkawa Springs is a unique community in Round Rock located just off Sam Bass Road. Constructed in the late 1970s and 1980s, Tonkawa Springs homes sit on large, 0.6-2.25 acre lots and some are as large as 4,800 sqft. There are some wet weather creeks that meander through the neighborhood and the neighborhood itself backs to Brushy Creek, so some homes are technically waterfront. You can’t use a motorized boat on Brushy Creek, but you can kayak and even fish. If you don’t like to do either of those, you’ll surely find it peaceful to sit in your backyard and enjoy the sound of running water. It feels like you’re further out of town than you actually are, being only about 8 minutes from Downtown Round Rock.
