Things to Do Near SoLa City Homes
SoLa City Homes are in the perfect location to take advantage of all South Austin has to offer. Barton Springs Pool is just about a mile away and is a popular place for South Austin residents to spend a warm afternoon. The water comes from a natural spring and is not heated, so it can get a bit chilly. In the mornings before 9am, admission is free. Surprisingly you’ll see a number of brave souls in the 60 degree water swimming laps.
Zilker Park is also nearby and where many of Austin’s festivals are held. Some of the biggest festivals, like Austin City Limits, draw thousands from all around Austin and out of town, making parking a problem. Because you’re so close, you could walk or take a quick bus ride and not have to worry about finding a spot.
Places to Eat Near SoLa City Homes
Black Sheep Lodge is a popular place to meet friends for Happy Hour or watch a game. They have a nice patio where you can enjoy a comfortable evening outside. They have great burgers and sweet potato fries.
Maria’s Taco Express is another popular restaurant. Its been featured on Food Network and has several unique decorations. Their tacos are also good and cheap.
There are several food trucks located throughout South Austin. Some of my favorites are Izzoz Tacos in 1st, Mighty Cone and Holy Cacao.
Coffee Near SoLa City Homes
South Austin is a great place to be if you love local coffee shops. Some of my favorite coffee is Summermoon Wood Fire Coffee on 1st, Once Over Coffee and Irie Bean. Irie Bean is the closest coffee shop and is a great place to go and sit on their patio, where dogs are welcome.
