Coffee in Galindo
Summermoon Coffee Bar
Could be my favorite coffee in South Austin. They’re known for their great tasting espresso and moon milk (a sweet milk they use to make their Wintermoon Lattes). Not sure what’s in it, but it is fabulous. I’ve tried their hot, cold and frozen espresso drinks and they are all great! They alos have very comfortable chairs and plenty of outlets. One of my favorite stops when I’m in the area.
Irie Bean Coffee Bar
Many Galindo residents love the cozy atmosphere indoors, large patio where dogs are welcome and friendly staff. They have open mic nights on the patio and also serve beer and wine (come between 4-8 everyday for Happy Hour). Their espresso is also very good. One downside – no food. Its strictly a coffee bar, so bring a snack if you’re going to be there a while.
Once Over Coffee Bar
Located just north of Galindo, Once Over Coffee Bar is one of the better (some say best) cups of coffee in Austin. There are few tables inside and a lot of tables on their back shaded patio that overlooks Bouldin Creek. Inside, it is often pretty quiet so if you’re meeting a group it is best to go outside.
