Onion Creek Golf Club
The Club was founded in 1974 by Jimmy Demeret, who along with Ben Crenshaw designed the 27 holes of the golf available here. Onion Creek got it’s claim to fame as the birthplace for the Senior Tour and has hosted the LPGA tournaments for years. Membership is now required for residents, but includes organized MGA and WGA events, a PGA Certified Professional Staff, a full service pro shop, golf practice facility and reciprocal golfing benefits at Sister clubs. The club also has 6 lighted tennis courts, 4 hard court surfaced and 2 clay surfaced courts, full service Clubhouse and member dining room, social events, fitness center and Olympic sized pool.
Onion Creek Community Parks
Onion Creek residents enjoy access to two neighborhood parks, Edward M. Sullivan Park and Ballybunion Park. Sullivan Park which is the larger park, has a basketball court, softball field, play equipment for children, and picnic facilities. Ballybunion Park features a gazebo, some picnic tables and a grill. Onion Creek also has a lake and creek that runs through the neighborhood.
