Sunset Valley, only a few minutes away, has all of the grocery shopping you could need. There’s an H-E-B on Brodie Lane and William Cannon, a Costco off MoPac, a Walmart just off 290 past MoPac and a Randalls on Brodie and William Cannon. They’re all within just a few blocks of each other, so you can pretty much take your pick of shopping. Plus, there are several other big box retailers in Sunset Valley as well. You can also check out the SFC Farmers Market on Saturdays from 9am-1pm at 3200 Jones Road.
Places to Eat Near Covenant Estates
For Seafood with a Louisiana flavor, try Cypress Grill on William Cannon and MoPac. Their shrimp po boy and bread pudding are excellent. For sushi, try Uchi in South Austin on South Lamar which is especially good for date night or a special occasion. You won’t find your run of the mill sushi here. Instead you’ll find very creative dishes and flavor combinations. Reservations are recommended as this place gets full fast. For Sunday Brunch, try Green Pastures, also in South Austin. It not only has great food, but a great atmosphere too.
Coffee Near Covenant Estates
My favorite coffee near Covenant Estates is Scooters off MoPac and William Cannon. They have great coffee and blended beverages. If you prefer Starbucks, you’ll find one of those in the Randalls shopping center at William Cannon.
Where to Work Out – Gyms Near Covenant Estates
If you don’t have a gym in your home, or just prefer to work out someplace else, there are a few options for you. If you like yoga, try Yoga Yoga Westgate. They have great class selections, a huge studio (over 6,000 sq ft) and a great staff. For pilates, try JoyMoves. They have a great studio and great instructors. Plus its a great workout. For a traditional gym, try Life Time Fitness on MoPac. Its a full service gym with every type of work out you can imagine.
