Grey Rock Golf Course is the closest golf course to The Estates at Bauerle Ranch. A public course, you can play as often as you like and just pay by the round. Onion Creek Golf Club has 27 holes of championship golf designed by Jimmy Demaret. Onion Creek has a rich history and is known for being the birthplace of the Senior PGA tour hosting the first ever Senior PGA event in 1978.

Grocery shopping is done in one of two places: Randalls at the corner of Brodie and Slaughter Lane and HEB at the corner of Manchaca and Slaughter Lane. Walmart is located on 290 and MoPac and is only about a 10 minute drive. You’ll also find every major retailer – Home Depot, Lowe’s, Bed Bath and Beyond, Babies R Us, Academy, Ross and Ulta – in Sunset Valley near 290 and MoPac. One of Austin’s two Costco’s is located at William Cannon and MoPac, just about 7 minutes away.

Texican Cafe on Manchaca Rd near FM 1626 serves authentic, El Paso style Mexican food and is a local favorite. Milano Pizza serves pizza, pasta and sandwiches but are most known for their pizza. Shogun is a popular sushi restaurant on Slaughter Lane and is a great place to go for lunch.

You’ll find a Texenza Coffee, one of Austin’s local coffee shops at the corner of Brodie Lane and Slaughter that serves Seattle’s Best Coffee. If you’re out in Sunset Valley shopping, try Scooter’s Coffee on MoPac and William Cannon. Excellent coffee drinks and smoothies.
