If country clubs are more your thing, try Barton Creek Golf Course just 7 miles north of the neighborhood. Barton Creek has exceptional golf, dining and spa for members.

The Estates of Lewis Mountain’s closest grocery shopping can be found in Escarpment Village at Escarpment and Slaughter. There you’ll find one of Southwest Austin’s nicest H-E-B stores. Its nearly brand new and they carry a lot of the Central Market products. You can also hit Costco right off William Cannon for your larger grocery store runs.
Things to Do Near Estates of Lewis Mountain
The Estates of Lewis Mountain is the perfect location for someone who wants to get away from everything, but not be too far away from the action. Downtown Austin is 20-25 minutes away, so you can easily hit the festivals, ACL, SXSW and any other event going on Downtown you’re interested. Plus, if you’re into boating and sailing, Lake Austin and Lake Travis are just minutes away. For shopping, try Barton Creek Square Mall or the new Hill Country Galleria on 71.
Places to Eat Near The Estates of Lewis Mountain
If you want to eat out, you’re going to have to drive a few minutes. Most everything around The Estates of Lewis Mountain is residential. The closest restaurants can be found in Escarpment Village where you’ll find a pizza restaurant (Mangieri’s), Asian fusion (Blue Bamboo), TexMex (Santa Rita), bistro and bar (Satellite) and American, casual dining (Waterloo Ice House). For a few more choices, head to Bee Cave’s Hill Country Galleria where you’ll find two pizza restaurants, Zoot, Iron Cactus, Emerald and Rosie’s Tamale House to name a few. For more upscale dining, head Downtown.

For coffee, try Starbucks in Escarpment Village. Just off Slaughter, you can grab a cup of coffee on your way to MoPac. If you’re willing to drive a little further, try Scooter’s at William Cannon and MoPac or Summermoon on S 1st St in South Austin. Both make an exceptional cup of coffee. Summermoon is my favorite and its totally worth the drive!
